I wrote Choose Your Weapon as a direct response to my own experiences of postnatal anxiety and intrusive thoughts. I had a lot of trouble with them when my daughter was born and finally found that using lucid dreaming techniques helped me work my way through them. When a friend of a friend was going through the same thing I found myself floundering whilst trying to explain it… and thus Choose Your Weapon was born. In this way I feel it is more of a Public Service Announcement than a script and I hope it can help other new mothers when they are having a tough time.
